Tim Reid is a five-time EMMY award-winning video producer with over 20 years of industry experience as a director, cinematographer, editor, and digital animator. He brings these technical and aesthetic abilities into his work as a mixed-media artist. Tim earned his MFA in 2021 from the University of Central Florida, where he had previously earned a BFA in 2012 . During his time in the MFA program, Tim expanded his practice beyond experimental digital filmmaking to include installations, objects, and recorded performances.

Tim was inspired to pursue his graduate degree by his late first wife, Marlenys. The two began the program together and worked alongside each other until her death in 2019, after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. The experience of this loss had a transformative impact on his choices of materials and concepts.

Tim’s work is a part of the permanent collection at Chateau d’Orquevaux in Orquevaux, France and has been exhibited at venues in the Central Florida area, Louisiana, and South Carolina. He was an Artist-in-Residence at Chateau d’Orquevaux in Orquevaux, France, and the City of Casselberry Sculpture House in Casselberry, FL. Films that Tim produced played to hundreds of audiences at national and international film festivals, and have been recognized with numerous awards.

Tim and his wife Brittney live and work in Winter Park, FL.
